First day - Ayahuasca
We had another new experience the next morning. We were gathered to watch as the locals gathered a special Nut/Berry. It was green and the size of an orange. They mashed it and added other ingredients. Don Augustine (the Shaman) explained that we were to put this all over our bodies as it would kill at the parasite within the body. He also explained that if you put it on grey hair. The hair would return to the original colour. Some were excited over that aspect. Well we did as we were told. We also were given a milk like substance to kill everything internally. Believe me it didn’t taste like milk. Yuck. Anyway the result was within a half hour we were eliminating from both ends. Not a pretty sight. Since there were so many he showed us the open field they wanted fertilized for future use, that we were welcome to use. Yes, no privacy.
As I said this was going to be an usual adventure. So our bodies turned Blue. Just like the BLUE MEN ON THE DRUMS . Apparently it would take a few weeks to wear off. Later in Lima Peru t he locals all knew who was in the jungle by our blue skin. At home one night I got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and I heard a voice in the dark , oh my God, scared my son as I was still blue under clothing.
Later that night we did a ceremony. The rain was teeming down so we did the first ceremony within the enclosed building. Early in the afternoon, I went into the jungle to watch the Shamans helpers prepared the drink for the ceremony that night. It was explained the vine used was believed to be from Heaven and it was mixed with a few others plants. It was heated over an open fire to bend. They called in Ayahuasca. So that evening as Don Augustine was giving us all a sip of the mixture. Uzalada ( my doorkeeper) was jumping up and down in excitement again. I was learning more about the ways of the jungle along with RITUALS. Oh boy, eliminating from both ends again. Then a feeling of being partly paralyzed overcame me. The ceremony lasts approx 3 hours. Time flies during these rituals, is all I can say.
Ayahuasca opens the pineal gland for a fuller vision of the information being given to you. I discovered that this group had been together in the jungles in another life time. We were the cause of Joyce’s’ death in that life time and as a result we were required to help her with the healing process this time: Karma, what goes around comes around. She left the jungle much better than when she entered. The adventure continues.
Ayahuasca is actually herbal mixture. They believe that the spirit Mother Ayahuasca is from the heaven and the spirit of the vine who assists those who take the mixture to have clearer vision. It is a tradition in Peru. The locals do it often as it is an initiation process. In love and light
