Action/Reaction – KARMA Aug 23
This is a topic that comes up often. It can be complicated to explain and the nuances that are involved and can be instantaneous or take years. I had a wonderful session with a client recently and loved her explanation of Karma- action and reaction.
In High school the teacher encourages and explains the repercussions of handing in the material required for courses. They call you on it when material is not completed etc .You graduate with grades A and B+.
University. You are considered and adult and totally responsible to attend/not attend classes and have assignments handed in on time. You get caught up in the social scene and so don’t always stay on top of assignments. No one is watching over you and so your hand in required papers at the last minute and keep on partying. At the end of the 3 years you have managed to squeak by with passing grade. Ah, you made it through Universe. You marks reflect that you did not buckle down but you passed and earned your degree.
You get a job with the firm that you desire. You are bight and good at what you do. Four years into the job you are up for a senior position. There are two candidates, so they pull out your UNIVERSITY Transcript of the C & D’s. The other candidate had A’s and B’s.. They get the promotion, even though you may have more knowledge and be better suited to the position. Welcome to “KARMA”
