Our boat house has had major issues with flooding my the water running down the driveway due to the slope in the property. I have called a couple of contractors to see if we can find a simple inexpensive solution until the spring when I can change the direction of the top of the driveway. I have place 4inch x 4inch wood across the driveway by the garage to try to direct the water but it seeps under the wood.
Last night as I lay I bed I ran through a couple of senarios to see if anything was viable. I play with polymer. so could I pour this in a mound across the driveway to steer the water down the far edge... No, too cold, How about tar... No too cold.
Then the thought came. The dirt road washes the sand down my driveway and forms blocks forcing the water to run in the wrong direction. So today I will go and purchase a few bags of sand and put it directly on an angle beside the wooden 4 by 4 to direct the water across the driveway. Simple solution until the issues can be resolved in the spring. Update: Its working
