I was reminded the other day of any incident that happened very early on in my meditations classes. Each time I would be instructing a class on what happens during meditation and how it changes out thinking, our connection to spirit, our outlook on life in a variety of ways; such as being more calm, not reacting, but looking at an issue that can cause us concern/worry, more objectively than subjectively. I became aware of my Father-in-Law Jim sitting at the top of the stairs, along with many, many other spirits. Jim had passed away a few years prior. I knew he like me and we had a terrific connection spiritually. Just before his passing I discovered that in his youth, he and his mother had attended meetings relevant to what I do now. So, he had an understanding of what meditation was and its affect on the psyche.
He sat in on my classes along with others for weeks before it occurred to me to ask him, "Why do you sit in on my classes?
His reply surprised me and changed my view on working with students. He stated " Just because a person dies does not mean they instantly become aware of the process od death. They do not instantly know how to communicate with the loved one they left behind. How important learning to have peace and tranquility in their daily life would improve the quality of life they have here on the earth plane.. He also states that he brought all these souls to learn all of this and more to help them with their soul growth on the other side of life."
You could have blown me over with a feather. I was overwhelmed honoured and astounded at this information.
I have always been aware that soul growth continue after death. It is not easy to do from the spirit side as it is here on the earth plane, where experiences actually allow the soul growth in lessons mentally, physically and spiritually. That is why it is so important to what you can on the earth plane. I am always honoured and delighted to know we have guests to learn and grow with the allotted times each week.
Having said this, I now have a very open mind when teaching to share many insights that help students become more aware that everything in the UNIVERSE is connected. Namaste.
