Meditation Practice April 26
We have the ability to change the structure of our own brains and slow down the aging process. With daily 30 minutes meditations you affect the hippocampus known for awareness, compassion and introspection.  Regular practice improves the gray matter known as the amygdala which plays a role in anxiety and stress. Rebuilding this is a major component of the central nervous system involved in muscle control, seeing, hearing, memory, emotions, speech, decision-making and self-control.
When we relax and feel good endorphins are released and through meditation people are given self-awareness to be able to deal with the stress more effectively. It improves the area of the brain responsible for self-control. You no longer do the action/ reaction to perpetuate a negative response.  When you meditate you boost the immune system to fight dis-ease within the body. Stress increases the cortisol that causes other ailments. Meditation encourages you to be empathetic to the needs and emotions of others and less caught up in your own world. The other wonderful benefit is the memory improves as you are in a relaxed state.
 You will find a new awareness of all of your daily activities and find a better quality of life when you make it a daily practice.   In love and light
