Miss Muffy; Oct 30
Shortly after Tom and I were married we purchase a black and white Cocker Spaniel and of course we called her Miss Muffy. What a treasure. We had a Chocolate/Seal Point Siamese cat called Tabitha who when climbing stairs always walked close to the railing. When Muffy came along she followed the cat and always walked next to the railing so we never worried about tripping on the stairs.
Miss Muffy was so gentle that everyone coming to the house told us when we had puppies they would like one. Tom had planned on Breeding but it was not meant to be as Miss Muffy turned out to be a hermaphrodite (he/she). When we called the breeder to inform him she was not a breeding dog he informed us to bring her back. He would put her down and give us another dog. Breeders are not stupid. They know you bond with a dog and they will never have to give you any money back. Enough said about that as that was out of the question.
We walked nine Miles a day, even during my pregnancy. I can delightfully say I only put on 30 lbs with that pregnancy and was in fabulous shape. Needed to be, as it was a very difficult labour. One of my flash back memories was looking out the window to the back yard and seeing Miss Muffy eating Tiny Tim Tomatoes right off the bushes. What a hoot and delightful pet we had for many years. She was wonderful with children and everyone who came in contact with her. Pleasant memories of days gone by. in love and light
